QNE Group (www.qne.com.au) has directed the construction and operation of 30+ intelligent and economical car washes throughout Australia, including the Thor Truck Wash which was built for the Wanless Group of companies (www.wanless.com.au).

The main driving reason for establishing such a truck wash facility at Coopers Plains was because of the evident and ongoing water shortage within the South East Queensland region. Secondly, geographically, there is a massive corridor of truck movement within the Coopers Plains region; and thirdly, the current opposition truck wash facilities are old, antiquated and labour intensive with minimal output and a severe lag in the ‘enter to exit' time frame. In some cases, trucks wait up to six hours before being serviced. This is not acceptable within transport industry expectations, but until now there has been no alternative.





The Thor Truck Wash facility at Coopers Plain is designed to offer a ‘smorgasbord' of wash options, from Deluxe Wash to Express Wash; and a 7 days a week, 24 hours a day Self Serve option. We have vacuum and detailing bays, vending consumables on sale, change machine, and a cafeteria / lounge for drivers to relax and enjoy the experience.

The facility is designed to reticulate and recycle water at the highest possible rate, with water management criteria as per the design of the Queensland Government endorsed QNE Group [www.qne.com.au] recycling systems, ensuring we are ‘Clean and Green'.




Deluxe Wash

•   Manual pre-washing prior to automatic wash.

•   Three employees to attend to pre-washing of the rear of trailer, wheels, gunnel rails and guards.

 •  High pressure lance and bubble brush system on the cabin, sides and rear of truck.

Express Wash

•   Full pre-soak application for the cabin and trailer combination by an employee.

 •  Automated full high pressure, touch free slow pass cabin and trailer wash with a combination rollover trailer wash.
