Q.1 The benefit of consulting and project managing with QNE enabled us to plan, implement and construct on a far more cost effective basis.
Minimal time delays occured because on site managers were there to sort out issues as they occured. Capital outlay was comparable with other initial qotations but the fact that QNE had previous experience in the car washing industry both as operators and as builders gave us the confidence to use them.
Any one can build a car wash after all it's just bricks and mortar but we didn't want to be a builders R&D with our business.

Q2. The process was very consultative. Each step of the planning and implementation process was done professionally and thoroughly. Great design. My only improvement would be to have the No1 on site manager at the site for the majority of the build. Sometimes the No. 2 manager did not have the ability to make on site changes/ alterations as required.

Q3. In the overal scope of the project we got up and running on the initial forecast budget. Additional expenses were due to changes that WE decided to implement.

Q4. The objective of the yearly fee was to enable a cheaper build. The franchise helps to get a project up and running. As for the benefits of the scheme it needs to be broken into short and long term objectives.
The short/ initial gain is in the cost of the building project. Money was saved and gained as a result of using QNE.
The longer term advantage is in the follow up support. Be it maintainence issues, advertising, WPH&S issues.

Q5. Yes. The operating manuals are very detailed and informative. I liken it to when you have your first child and the nurses and the doctors hand you this bundle and wish you good luck! What the heck do you do with a new born? I wish my first child came with the same follow up as our car washing business did.

Q6. The equipment as supplied by QNE - Car Kleeen Australia works well within their design of the building. Compact, effecient and so far generally trouble free. CK also provided full support during the first 12 months of operation. minor issues were solved by a phone call or by on site assistance.
